West Bengal Election Dates 2021 List

The dates for the coming Assembly election in Assam as well Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, as well as West Bengal was made public in the Election Commission on 26 February 2021.

In the state of West Bengal will vote in eight phases. Assam, however, will vote in three phases beginning on the 27th of March. On April 6, Assembly elections for Tamil Nadu and Kerala will be conducted in single phases.

West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 Opinion and Exit Poll

The state of West Bengal, a state which has granted multiple terms to the ruling party, the enthusiasm for the election is just too high. Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee has been eyeing the possibility of a third term. But, BJP has also stepped up and offered a tough campaign for the TMC. Congress has joined forces with left-leaning parties as well as Abbas Siddiqui from SIF. Mamata's party was able to win 211 of 294 seats back in the 2016. According to polls, this year , the party is expected to be able to hold around 160 seats. According to pollsters, the BJP will be able to win between 110 and 118 seats, while the BJP was able to win only three places in the 2016. The pollsters predict only 22 seats in the Congress-Left alliance. The pollsters forecast 178 seats for the TMC and 110 votes to the Left-Congress and one voter for BJP during the 2016 elections. Principal candidates

Mamata Banerjee:Mamata Banerjee, the chief of Trinamool Congress and West Bengal chief Minister is running against Suvendu Adhikari, who has a run-off on an BJP ticket for her Nandigram Assembly constituency.

Banerjee was also confronted by Minakshi Mukherjee, a former student leader and CPM candidate.

Suvendu Adhikari:Mamata Banerjee has been backed by Suvendu Adhikari who is the BJP's main rival.

Adhikari's candidacy was announced March 6, a month after his joining BJP at the end of December. Adhikari was a fervent advocate for Banerjee in the Nandigram land protests. In November of 2020 Adhikari resigned his post as the state transportation minister.

Babul Supriyo:In the coming West Bengal Assembly elections, the BJP has put forward a MP and singer Babul Supriyo from the Tollygunge Assembly constituency.

On the 9th of November, 2014. Supriyo was elevated to the position of Minister for Union of State, Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. His portfolio was elevated to the Minister of State Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises in July of 2016.

Srijan Bhattacharya HTML0 Srijan Bhattacharya Srijan Bhattacharya, an Indian citizen who is a part of the Singur constituency of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was elected to the party.

In the fourth round, the TMC's Becharam Mana and the BJP's Rabindra Nath Battacharya were challenged in the fourth phase by Students Federation of West Bengal secretary.
